If APD is considered as first line therapy these patients should have... a similar/better adequacy of dialysis than CAPD patients; a similar/lower rate of complications than CAPD patients; a similar/better quality of life than CAPD patients; a similar/lower risk of hospitalization than CAPD patients; a similar/better survival than CAPD patients ; and: treatment costs should be acceptable.Comments:
